Landscape Planner
- January: Continue weekly maintenance, possibly perform granite refreshing
- February: Apply pre-emergent to granite areas, continued weekly maintenance, Fertilize turf areas with a balanced fertilizer like 19-3-5 w/ 3.5%Fe
- March: Fertilize Shrubs and Trees, install new plants if needed, trim frost damaged plants. Continued weekly maintenance. Use 15-15-15 or 20-20-20 fertilizer for Shrubs and Trees.
- April: Winter lawn conversion, light de-thatch, treat queen palms. Continued weekly maintenance. Fertilize turf with a balanced fertilizer with low nitrogen content. It is good to apply a soil amendment at this time as well.
- May: Fertilize summer Bermuda grass. Install summer annual flowers, aerate lawns anytime May – September. Continued weekly maintenance. Apply a balanced fertilizer or possibly an organic fertilizer.
- June: Continued weekly maintenance, prepare for tree thinning crowning for monsoon season
- July: Continued weekly maintenance, fertilize grass areas, trim palms. Trim and re-stake small trees. Use quick release fertilizer such as 21-0-0 to help promote color and growth.
- August: Apply pre-emergent to granite areas, treat queen palms, continued weekly maintenance.
- September: Continue weekly maintenance, start cutback, and turn off water to grass areas.
- October: Scalp and de-thatch, install winter grass, continue weekly maintenance, fall flower rotation.
- November: Continue weekly maintenance, fertilize winter grass using 21-7-14 or similar product.
- December: Continue weekly maintenance, leaf blowing, debris etc. Fertilize winter turf using 15.5-0-0 or similar product.
